Watch: Nicole Kidman's Embroidered Dior Gown Took 1000 Hours to Make

This week Nicole Kidman stepped out onto the red carpet at the Cannes film festival in a raffia-embroidered Dior gown that took over 1,000 hours to make.

The embroidery and raffia on it—meant to create the illusion of a little French garden from afar—took 800 hours to sew on; the dress construction itself took an additional 200 hours.
