Hammers supporters made their feelings clear at their side’s 3-0 win over Crystal Palace, using the French forward’s jersey as a doormat
Dimitri Payet’s refusal to play for West Ham and his desire to leave the club has made him a very unpopular figure with the club’s supporters.
The 29-year-old has been linked with a return to Marseille after manager Slaven Bilic confirmed that Payet ‘wants to leave’ the Premier League club.
The news has not been warmly received, with fans expressing their disgust at the France forward online, while many have posted vitriolic updates directed at Payet on Twitter.
Supporters who visited London Stadium on Saturday for the Hammers’ 3-0 victory over Crystal Palace went even further to show their frustrations at the wantaway star.
One fan brought a Payet jersey to the stadium, where he laid it on the ground for fellow supporters to use as a doormat on the way in.
Hammers followers were eager to make their voices heard, which can be seen in the video below. However, some strong language was used, so be advised before watching the clip.
