BEST OF BEST

FREEZE OVER

Race 2, No 3

Couldn’t have been more impressive on debut when dominated midweek field at Sandown just over a week ago. This is significantly tougher but her closing sectionals that day were brilliant. Sure to be in the finish with repeat of that effort.

FASTNET LATINA

Race 5, No 5

Highly promising import unbeaten at three Australian runs. He fought on strongly over 1600m at Moonee Valley last time and should be prominent for a long way from barrier five with Jordan Childs in the saddle.

THE EYE-CATCHER

ROYAL RUMBLE

Race 3, No 8

Quality four-year-old who has been close-up in good company at both runs from a spell. Should be nearing his peak now and is well-suited over the 1600m on the outer track.

THE TRAINER

TOM DABERNIG (Lindsay Park)

ROYALE EFFORT (Race 1)

He’ll be improved by his first-up effort when he did a few things wrong. With natural improvement, he should be around the money.

LUQYAA (Race 2)

She won first time out. We’re chasing the black type here and I think she’s got a good chance.

HIGHLAND BEAT (Race 4)

He’s drawn very wide but his best runs have been when ridden quietly. I think he’ll hit the line hard.

ZUNBAQA (Race 7)

She was an impressive winner at Sandown last time and she’s got good Adelaide form.

DOMESTICATED (Race 8)

Her natural pattern is to go forward. She’s a last-start winner and we’re chasing the black type with her, too.

SCOTTY SAYS

BATTLECAMP

Race 5, No 6

I thought he was good in a pretty strong race at Flemington last time. The 1600m should be right up his alley and the Freedmans are sure to have him ready to roll. Say no more!

THE QUADDIE

First leg — 5, 6

Second leg — 1, 5, 9, 14

Third leg — 1, 2, 4, 14

Fourth leg — 1, 3, 4, 11
