Steph Curry says he wasn't making fun of LeBron James in video

Steph Curry says he was not poking fun at LeBron James in the wedding video that went viral over the weekend.

Curry told The Athletic via The Big Lead that he’s been watching LeBron’s workout video twice a day since it was posted and says it’s his “favorite video in the entire world.”

The video Curry was imitating was from a post in June of LeBron rapping along to Tee Grizzley’s “First Day Out.” Curry said whenever he hears that song he’s immediately reminded of the post and when the song came on at the wedding, he felt the need to show off his LeBron moves on the dance floor.

“So now every time I hear that song, that’s all I think about. And I’ve been doing that dance because of him, at my house, at dinner. When something good happens, I pull that out, because I like it and it makes me laugh and it makes me happy. Not making fun of him,” Curry said.

Although Curry says it was all in good fun, the wedding video didn’t really look that way.

Disgruntled Cavaliers point guard Kyrie Irving was also in the video along with Curry where he watched and laughed along with the Warriors superstar.

Irving has made headlines this offseason by expressing his desire to be traded because he reportedly no longer wants to play alongside LeBron. Irving laughing in Curry’s video only adds to the drama in Cleveland.

The point guard has asked to be traded to the Knicks, Timberwolves or Heat. Despite his trade request, the Cavaliers have yet to send Irving anywhere and could hang onto him since he is still under contract.
