A-League: Despite going down to ten men Melbourne Victory survive a thrilling match against Brisbane Roar
BRISBANE Roar have confirmed the re-signing of Danish midfielder Thomas Kristensen.
As revealed by The Courier-Mail earlier this month, Kristensen’s form since joining the Roar last July has earned him a contract extension.
Having initially signed a one-year deal with the three-time A-League champions, 33-year-old Kristensen has committed to two further seasons with the Roar.
“This wasn’t a difficult deal to finalise,” Roar football director Craig Moore said.
“Thomas has been good for us, he’s settled in well and he’s really enjoying his football.”
Kristensen has scored four goals for the Roar the season as well as providing grunt in Brisbane’s engine room.
“I’m really pleased to commit my future to Brisbane — it was an easy decision,” Kristensen said.
“It’s nice for myself and my family to know where our future lies, the focus now is to continue to perform well in the remaining A-League matches.”
“In football, you have good and bad spells but I believe in what we are doing and I know that this group can be successful if we work hard for it.”
