Lonzo Ball may think the world is his, but rapper Nas disagrees.
Prior to Tuesday night’s Lakers-Knicks game, Ball showed up to Madison Square Garden wearing a sweatshirt with his face on Nas’ “It was Written” album.
Nas, a native New Yorker, may have caught wind of what the Lakers point guard was wearing and celebrated after the Knicks picked up a 113-109 overtime win.
The rapper, who was clearly in a N.Y. state of mind after the win, posted a photo of the Knicks logo on Instagram Tuesday night with the caption “Great Win Knicks.”
Ball has previously taken a shot at the New York rapper before when he said “Don’t nobody listen to Nas no more,” on the Ball family’s Facebook show “Ball in the Family.” He also said that real hip-hop in his eyes is by Migos and Future.
After word of Ball’s hot take started to spread, Nas’ manager Anthony Saleh posted reaction from the rapper and Future on Twitter. Saleh also represents Future.
“Nas has never heard of you & Future thanks you for your support,” Saleh tweeted.
The beef between the two seemed to grow Tuesday night, but it’s unknown whether or not it’ll leak into Nas’ new album whenever it’s released.
