Power Rangers

Power Rangers: The latest version of Power Rangers (above) hit the big screen this past March to modest returns, but the popularity of the characters endures. Next, the lead characters will be the featured attractions in a live, interactive, mixed-media stage production. The tour will visit more than 50 cities in North America, kicking off in Phoenix, Arizona on February 17, 2018. It’s in celebration of the 25th anniversary of the original television show. Gigantic

Gigantic: We first heard about Disney’s animated Gigantic in 2015. The movie was aiming to be “the definitive version of Jack and the Beanstalk,” with songs to be written by Robert Lopez and Kristen Anderson-Lopez (Frozen). Now Disney has decided to halt development on the project. “Sometimes, no matter how much we love an idea or how much heart goes into it, we find that it just isn’t working,” says Walt Disney and Pixar Animation Studios president Ed Catmull. “With Gigantic, we’ve come to that point.” [THR]
