Markieff Morris showed some onions in his postgame interview.
The Wizards power forward hit clutch free throws to help Washington beat the Warriors Tuesday night. When asked about his key shots after the game, Morris had an interesting response.
“My wife tells me all the time I’ve got big nuts. I put my nuts on the line tonight,” Morris said.
With the Wizards leading 110-108 with 3.7 seconds left, Morris grabbed a board following a missed shot by Steph Curry. He was immediately fouled and then knocked down both free throws to seal the win.
Morris scored 22 points and grabbed six rebounds in the Wizards victory.
The Wizards currently hold the No. 3 seed in the Eastern Conference and will be hoping to run into the Warriors again in the NBA Finals.
While Morris and the Wizards were happy with their huge win over the Warriors, Golden State may have lost more than the game.
Kevin Durant left Tuesday night’s game with a knee injury. The Warriors announced he’ll be out indefinitely with an MCL sprain and bone bruise.
