LeBron James' LA home has N-word spray painted on front gate

While LeBron James is gearing up for the NBA Finals, a Los Angeles home owned by the Cavaliers superstar was reportedly vandalized with the N-word spray-painted on its front gate.

Detectives are investigating the incident as a potential hate crime, according to TMZ Sports, and multiple police units, as well as neighborhood patrol vehicles, were at the house early Wednesday morning.

Investigators told the website that they’re hoping security footage from James’ neighbors could help identify the culprit who spray painted the graffiti, which is now covered up.

James, who spends a lot of time in Cleveland, doesn’t appear to live in the home regularly, the report said. He was not at the house, which was purchased in 2015, at the time of the incident.

James and the Cavaliers face off against the Warriors at ORACLE Arena in Oakland, Calif. on Thursday at 9 p.m. This is LeBron’s seventh consecutive trip to the NBA Finals.
