Lamar Odom suffered a health scare early Sunday morning when he collapsed to the ground at a Los Angeles nightclub.
The incident occurred at about 2 a.m. while the former NBA star — who was hospitalized for three months following an October 2015 overdose — was at a VIP booth at the celebrity hotspot Bootsy Bellows, according to TMZ, which obtained a video of Odom on the ground.
A rep for the ex-Laker attributed Odom’s collapse to dehydration and assured he is currently “doing well.”
“He was dehydrated and had been in an intense workout earlier in the day,” the rep told E! News in a statement. “It was also very hot in the club.”
Odom, 38, was drinking several hours before he collapsed, the man who videotaped the incident claimed to TMZ.
The video shows men helping Odom onto a couch after the collapse. The ex-Laker appears to be conscious throughout the video.
Odom’s past issues with substance abuse are well-documented. The latest incident comes a little over two years after he was discovered unconscious at a Nevada brothel in October 2015, prompting him to be rushed to the hospital.
The life and career of Lamar Odom
He spent four days in a coma, and remained in the hospital until early 2016. His ex-wife Khloe Kardashian — whom he was still married to but estranged from at the time — was by his side for much of his recovery process.
Odom spent 14 seasons in the NBA, including seven with the Lakers, and won a pair of championships with Los Angeles.
