PHILADELPHIA — Knicks big man Kyle O’Quinn was fined $25,000 by the NBA for the hard foul he leveled against Anthony Davis Monday night.
According to the league, O’Quinn was fined Wednesday for “striking and pushing” Davis.
O’Quinn nailed Davis from behind late in the third quarter of that 110-96 loss at the Garden Monday. He received a flagrant foul and was ejected for the hit.
Davis was forced to leave the game with a bruised hip and is listed as questionable for Thursday’s game at Brooklyn. Up until he was blasted by O’Quinn, Davis dumped 40 points and pulled down 18 rebounds against the Knicks.
