It’s hard to make it fashion: the industry is over-crowded, cutthroat, and tends to favor those with with easy access to resources and connections.
So ELLE (all 46 editions!) is hoping to level the playing field. In an initiative designed to recognize emerging design talent all over the world, editors across 46 global editions of ELLE magazine have started the ELLE Fashion Now movement. The project highlights the best up-and-coming designers in each country with an ELLE—and anyone can vote for his or her fave.

We’re hoping you agree with us that Off-White’s Virgil Abloh is worthy of your vote.
“Virgil is a fashion disruptor who bridged what was happening in streetwear to what was happening on the runway in a new and refreshing way,” ELLE fashion director Samira Nasr says. “Whether joining forces with iconic American brands such a Levi’s to reinterpret such classics as the ubiquitous 501 jean or playing with proportion on a little black dress, Virgil manages to bring relevancy and street sensibility to the most basic fashion staples and make them instant must-haves. We, at ELLE US, LOVE Off-White c/o Virgil Abloh!”
